Ear welding and bailing machines series BHP for bails made of plastic

Ear welding and bailing machines series BHP for bails made of plastic

These machine are used for welding ears of different types automatically to round, cylindrical cans, and then automatically forming and attaching bails made of plastic. The kind of welding process means that cans can be processed which are decorated or lacquered both on the inside and the outside.

The bails may have a special hole at each end which means that the metal can and the plastic bail can be separated very easily later on for recycling.

Other variants of machines and welding ears are available especially for processing plastic bails made by injection moulding.

Semi-automatic variants can be delivered, too.

Company profile

Larsen Can Technology - ear welding and bailing machines and related consumables

My kingdom for a handle! Carrying a 10 kg can of paint can be a challenge. Cans containing paint, varnish or other heavy contents are a lot more comfortable to transport if they have handles.

Larsen Can Technology develops and produces efficient machines for equipping cans with handles. Founded in 1919, the company, which is of Danish origin, has been making machines to produce cans, pails and canisters since the 1960's.

In 2012 this product range was taken over by Klinghammer Can Technology, which has its headquarters in Braunschweig, Germany.

The Larsen machines, now made in Braunschweig, weld ears onto cans, which are still an essential means of packaging. Steel or plastic handles are then attached to these ears. The product range also includes machines for welding brackets for wire or plastic handles onto canister lids. Both automatic and semi-automatic machines are available, which vary in output.

Larsen offers its customers a complete service, from integrating the customer's individual requirements into the machine's design to its manufacture, initial operation and the delivery of ears and brackets processed by the machines.

Larsen's integration represents the latest extension to the Klinghammer Group. This joined force adds essential depth to its canmaking capabilities, enabling customers to order complete back ends of canmaking production lines from one source - Klinghammer Can Technology and its daughter companies Bertil Ohlsson Can Technology and Larsen Can Technology.

The Klinghammer slogan, "Quality that lasts - Made in Germany!“, also applies to Larsen.
